About me

I'm a self-taught artist, writer, poet, philosopher, art teacher and adviser in how to train, handle and care horses without abuse.

I’m originally from Mexico.   One of the things I’m very passionate about is about learning about life. That’s why I love philosophy, writing and painting. .  I seek to learn, to share and to understand. Through my writing I share my questions about life, through my poems I get to touch the soul and the universe around us and through my art I go beyond thoughts, ideas, colors and lines; Art is to me not only an expression but an understanding to everything we seek. All together are my art and my passion.

MY ART

I paint my own inspirations as well I do personalized and theme paintings by commission. I developed my own style and own techniques. You might say they’re very spiritual, positive and joy evoking paintings. Yet I seek more, more than forms, more than words, more than colors in each painting, I seek answers. An answer to a thought, an idea, an emotion or question. And even more I seek to learn more, create more, feel more. Art is to me not only an expression but an understanding to everything we seek.

Someone asked me why I paint. I paint because I feel free there. They’re no restrictions in ideas, thoughts, themes, forms, lines, colors… just freedom. Art is freedom!

I let art show me the way. And the most important thing is that my goal is to make people smile when they see any of my paintings. I remember one person who told me,” They make me happy”.
I moved to Puerto Rico with my husband and with the help of the internet I started painting for others. I do personalized and theme paintings with my own style. I paint your soul, your essence, your moment, your story, your loves, your favorite things. I have been fortunate to make paintings for people in India, Italy, England, Japan, Colombia, Puerto Rico, and many states in the USA. . One of the things that warm my heart is that every painting I’ve done, the owner loves it. I’m very fortunate to have met many people all over and not only made them paintings but created wonderful friendships.  I also have made Theme paintings for non-profit organizations like WERC, WWF and the SPCA- NY.

Now I live in U.S.A. and I started a new work of mine that’s related to my ancestors. The Aztec artists painted what they called it “Flower and Song” (“In Xochitl In Cuicatl” is Nahuatl the language of the Aztecs, and many tribes in Mexico still); and it means that the Painting is the Flower, and the Poem is the Song. This means that I added to loves, my poems and painting together creating a Flower and Song.

MY WRITING

As I said before I love philosophizing, I love to learn about life, and what I learn I write and share. It takes me beyond us; it lets me feel the universe and the soul through my words.

HORSES

I used to have a foundation (LImachi Foundation) that helped the abused, all regarding educating and informing others in how you can avoid abuse of all beings. Many of the abuse that occurs in the world is for lack of knowledge and lack of Love. Especially regarding horses, many see the movies or see others whip the horses and believe that’s the only way to train and handle a horse; and that’s absolutely not true. When you learn about the horse biology, psyche, needs, etc. You have so many ways to communicate. That’s the word “communicate” many seek to “dominate” the horse. Just by changing your approach you can stop the abuse. By seeking to communicate and not dominate the whole dynamic changes and the abuse is over. I have two blogs (one in English and one in Spanish) that I write about horse abuse and how to treat, train and handle better horses. I dedicate this Blogs to my late horse Chimali. He not only taught me to love and live fully a passion, but he also showed me how horses are abused.   I wrote it for free so that all could have the info. I answer many questions from many all over the world in how to care, handle and love their horses.

A final thought on this. It is simple, Love is the way; when you treat others and animals with the way you love, you’re treating them with respect, patience, tolerance, caring, understanding, humility, forgiveness, hope, learning, etc.

Hope this info helps you understand more about my art and writing…
